Wisdom Tooth Removal in Baner, Pune

Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out. We examine it and take a digital X-ray to see exactly where it sits, then tell you whether to keep an eye on it or remove it. If it does need removing, we do it under local anaesthesia.

  • Digital X-ray to check the tooth’s position
  • Removal under local anaesthesia
  • Laser-assisted surgery in selected cases
  • Most people back to normal in a few days

Do I need my wisdom teeth out?

Not always

Some wisdom teeth come through normally and never cause trouble. Many, however, don’t have enough room, which can lead to pain, swelling, infection or damage to the tooth next to them.

7 signs to get it checked

  • Pain or discomfort at the back of your mouth
  • Swollen, red or bleeding gums around it
  • Difficulty opening your mouth fully
  • Food getting trapped around the tooth
  • Repeated gum infections
  • An impacted wisdom tooth seen on an X-ray
  • Damage to or crowding of nearby teeth

Impacted wisdom teeth

What if it can’t come through?

With an impacted wisdom tooth, bone, gum or another tooth blocks its way. Left untreated, it can raise the risk of infection, decay, gum disease, a cyst, or damage to the molar next to it.

Not every impacted tooth needs removing straight away, but we should watch it with regular check-ups and X-rays. Early diagnosis often means simpler treatment and a smoother recovery.

Questions patients ask

Wisdom tooth FAQs

No. Wisdom teeth that come through normally, are healthy and are easy to clean may not need removing. We recommend removal only when the tooth is causing problems or is likely to.
An examination and a digital X-ray are the best way to tell. The X-ray shows whether bone, gum or another tooth is blocking it.
We numb the area with local anaesthesia, so you should not feel pain during treatment. Some soreness afterwards is normal and usually improves over the next few days.
Most people return to normal daily activities within a few days. However, complete healing can take longer, depending on how complex the removal is.
In selected cases we use a laser to manage the gum around the tooth, which helps soft-tissue handling and supports healing.
It can raise the risk of infection, decay, gum disease, a cyst or damage to the molar next to it. That is why we monitor impacted teeth with check-ups and X-rays even when we don’t remove them.
Sometimes, yes. If the tooth is not causing problems, we may simply monitor it. If you have repeated pain, swelling or infections, an early consultation helps decide whether monitoring or removal is better.
